Steps to Compete Modules

Step 1: Think about logistics

Complete this step prior to finalizing your syllabus or at the beginning of semester.

1. Determine when in the semester you want your students to complete the modules.
2. Determine whether you want your students to complete the modules during class or on their own. (e.g. library, computer lab (with headphones), home) If you plan on using a computer lab, be sure to reserve it in advance.

Step 2: Obtain DISCOVER user ids for your sections

Complete the DISCOVER user id request form at least one week before you want your students to complete the module.

Step 3 (Optional): Incorporate DISCOVER into your curriculum by using supplemental materials.

We have provided some assignments/activities that will assist students in further understanding their DISCOVER results. You are not required to use these materials. They are just helpful resources for our faculty and staff. If you do not want to use these materials, or you have decided to develop your own, you can skip this step.

Step 4: Instruct your students to complete the DISCOVER assessment

1. Distribute DISCOVER user ids
2. Provide students informational handout/instructions on how to complete the modules.
3. Instruct students to complete the modules within one week.
4. Optional: Assign additional activities (Refer to Step 3)
